Model Doll Heads In Fayetteville, Georgia
MCALESTER, Okla. – A 76-year-old McAlester man was arrested Tuesday on 19 counts of sexual abuse after police received claims he molested several children while in a position of authority more than 30 years ago.
McAlester police detectives were alerted to the alleged sexual crimes conducted by Ronald Lawrence back in August when his first accuser reported abuse at the hands of a Jehovah’s Witness church leader.

Others may say it’s only natural to be angry or seek revenge when someone wrongs us. But how should we deal with anger according to the Bible?

Project Transformation aims to promote literacy to low-income youth by using college-aged interns to teach literacy, health and nutrition and arts and crafts programming at a local United Methodist Church. The interns, in turn, will be exposed to many different types of church ministry. 70 percent of Project Transformation college interns come back to work in some sort of church ministry. Project Transformation provides local church sites the opportunity to engage with their nearby communities and families in an innovative way. Children who have participated in Project Transformation elsewhere have seen a 96% improved or maintained reading level. Project Transformation–Rio Texas is a program with three focus points, the three C’s: College-aged students, Church and Children. Project Transformation, a program birthed from the Greater Dallas area in 1998, aims to promote literacy by trying to solve three problems:
1. How to meet the academic, physical, and spiritual needs of children from low-income communities.
2. How to provide meaningful ways for college students to explore ministry opportunities and develop as young adult leaders for the church and the world.
3. How to help revitalize struggling urban churches.

Bishop Gregory’s Ordination into the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of America (Part 1 of 2)
Recorded in 1926.
The singers and dancers are from the Hopi villages of Walpi, Mosagavi, Shomokiano, Toreva, and Phoenix (all in Arizona).
In 1921, the Bureau of Indian Affairs Superintendent told the Hopi that some church people had petitioned Congress to make them stop their dancing. The Hopi asked M. W. Billingsley (an adopted non-Indian Hopi) for help.
Billingsley met with Washington politicians to stall the petition. He argued for the conservation of Hopi culture. He also formed a group of dancers and chanters to show the American public the beauty of the dances and singing of the Hopi.
Billingsley took the dancers on a tour of performances across the country. In 1926, the U.S. Congress passed a Resolution giving the Hopi permission to carry on with their traditional dancing.
The Hopi Tribe is a sovereign nation located in northeastern Arizona.
The reservation occupies part of Coconino and Navajo counties, encompasses more than 1.5 million acres, and is made up of 12 villages on three mesas.
The Hopi Reservation is entirely surrounded by the much larger Navajo Reservation. The two nations used to share the Navajo-Hopi Joint Use Area, but this was a source of conflict.
The partition of this area, commonly known as Big Mountain, by Acts of Congress in 1974 and 1996, has also been unsatisfying to the people involved.

High demerits are only part of the concern at dirty diners this week.
Health inspection reports show serious health code violations.
Stuff like roaches in a kitchen, mold in an ice machine and food found on the floor are some of the violations in question.
This week’s dirtiest restaurant is Sevilla Café on 241 South Texas Boulevard in Weslaco.
It scored 29 demerits on a health report.
Kitchen cops exposed off temperature beef, missing hairnets, insect contamination along with a cross contamination of foods, according to results on a report.
Colima restaurant on 1402 North Closner in Edinburg also scored low performer status with 21 demerits.
An inspector found food on the floor, missing towels for proper sanitation and dirty equipment.
